hi there!

I’m Amanda

I aim to help you feel confident in your food choices and live your best life, regardless of stage of CKD.

My Story

I grew up in the Midwest and have lived in many different states as my spouse and I have pursued our educations and professional lives.

I became a dietitian to help people understand that eating well and eating the foods you love don’t have to be mutually exclusive…you can have your cake and eat it too!

The passion for CKD came during my clinical internship when I worked with those on dialysis (and later worked in dialysis for 3 years). I thought to myself “there has to be a better option”. There is! Working with a renal dietitian can delay or even prevent the need for dialysis, and that’s my goal!

My Philosophy

I have a passion for working to help individuals understand the role of nutrition in chronic disease, specifically diabetes and chronic kidneys disease (CKD). There is so much confusing information out here it can be hard.

I strive to provide accurate and evidence based nutrition information and empower my clients to make empowered food choices based on disease state. I don’t believe in long lists of foods that are off limits and love helping clients work their favorite foods into their eating pattern. Clients I work with report increased energy, improved labs and feeling more confident in their food choices. Feel free to explore how we can work together to reach your health goals and help you make empowered food choices.
